Mega polis is being planned in Phase 3, Rajiv Gandhi InfoTech Park, Hinjewadi. Total project is being designed on 150 acres of land, which shall have Integrated Township of more than 10,000 flats with Software Park to promote walk to work culture. The concept shall be a mini city offering world class lifestyle with ultramodern facilities. A world class construction with modern techniques, world class landscape and ecofriendly environment shall enhance the efficiency of the entire project.

The projects looks good but since it is a very big township, the completion date is said to be somewhere around 2013. Hope they can meet this one. The problems of not in being located under the municipal limits being questioned by many clients. They are said to be in Hinjewadi but is yet to be developing and is in the third and developing phase of Hinjewadi.

The basic necessity: Water is the main problem here. What's the use if you have a lovely place but no water to survive. Better not have this place at all. Ask the builder what he think he is going to do to supply water to the whole society and township. If he can give you a satisfactory answer with some ground evidence then you can go for it. Otherwise better wait for the upcoming projects in this area.

It seems to be a very large project covered on 150 acres of land with around 56 buildings. A very huge project but its seen as one which will have water problem as it does not fall in the Municipal limits. The Municipality as well as drinking water will not be easily available here.
The builder is also asking for higher rates. But seeing the supply of many other projects in the same area you can negotiate really hard with the sales people.
Water again would not be a big problem. As per my talks with megapolis people they said they will be putting up their own water harvesting plant. That is harvesting and purification kind of thing. And point to remember, such big townships cannot be planned in a crowded cities. So if you want to enjoy township, it needs to be a little away from the city.
I guess Public transport is not a very big issue for Megapolis. Megapolis is the last stop for every buses coming to Hinjewadi and there is a sharing facility already till tech mahindra and as soon as you get the possesion the sharing will go upto Megapolis too. There will be Megapolis shuttle too frequency not known. In around 2-4 years there would be shopping comlexes and Multiplexes too at Blue ridge. And there is a six lane highway coming up too.
